<p>ALCOHOL</p>
<p>Avoid consumption of alcohol as it may increase the risk of low blood pressure.</p>

<p>KIDNEY</p>
<p>TELMISAT 20MG TABLET should be taken with caution in patients with kidney disease, kidney artery stenosis (narrowing of blood vessels to one or both the kidneys) and with a history of kidney transplant. Consult your doctor before taking TELMISAT 20MG TABLET.</p>

<p>LIVER</p>
<p>TELMISAT 20MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with severe liver problems such as cholestasis or biliary obstruction (flow of bile from liver stops or slows). TELMISAT 20MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with liver diseases. Consult your doctor before taking TELMISAT 20MG TABLET.</p>

<p>ALLERGY</p>
<p>TELMISAT 20MG TABLET is not recommended for use if you are allergic to Telmisartan or any other ingredients of this medicine.</p>

<p>HEART DISEASE</p>
<p>TELMISAT 20MG TABLET should be taken with caution in patients having heart trouble or low blood pressure (due to dehydration problems, low-salt intake, diarrhoea or vomiting). Before taking TELMISAT 20MG TABLET consult with your doctor.</p>
<h2>OTHERS</h2>
<p>Before taking TELMISAT 20MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have:</p>
<ul>
<li>High potassium levels in the body</li>
<li>Raised aldosterone levels (water and salt retention in the body along with imbalance of various blood minerals)</li>
<li>Diabetes</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Use in pediatrics:</strong></p>
<p>TELMISAT 20MG TABLET is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (under 18 years of age). Consult your child’s doctor for advice.</p>
<p><strong>Use in geriatrics:</strong></p>
<p>TELMISAT 20MG TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years and above). Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.</p>
<h2>INTERACTIONS</h2>
<p><strong>A. Drug - Drug interactions:</strong></p>
<p>Before taking TELMISAT 20MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines:</p>
<ul>
<li>Angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors (Ex. enalapril, lisinopril, ramipril), angiotensin II receptor antagonists (Ex. candesartan, irbesartan) and aliskiren (medicines used to treat high blood pressure)</li>
<li>Digoxin (used to treat heart failure and abnormal heart rhythm)</li>
<li> Medicines containing lithium (used to treat some types of depression)</li>
<li>Medicines that may increase blood potassium levels such as salt substitutes containing potassium</li>
<li>Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as aspirin, ibuprofen (medicines used to treat pain and inflammation</li>
<li>Heparin (used to prevent or treat blood clot)</li>
<li>Immunosuppressive agents such as ciclosporin or tacrolimus (used to prevent organ rejection after transplant)</li>
<li> Antibiotic trimethoprim (medicine used to treat and prevent urinary tract infections)</li>
<li>Diuretics such as furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide and potassium-sparing diuretics (Ex. amiloride, spironolactone) (used to treat oedema or high blood pressure)</li>
<li>Corticosteroids such as dexamethasone, hydrocortisone (used to treat inflammatory conditions)</li>
<li>Baclofen (used for muscle spasm)</li>
<li>Amifostine (medicine used in cancer chemotherapy)</li>
<li>Barbiturates such as phenobarbital, pentobarbital (used to treat seizures)</li>
<li>Antidepressants such as citalopram, fluoxetine, paroxetine (used to treat depression)</li>
<li>Narcotics such as morphine and codeine (used to treat moderate to severe pain)</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Overdosage:</strong></p>
<p>If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of TELMISAT 20MG TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. The most common symptoms of overdose are low blood pressure, fast or slow heartbeat, dizziness, elevated levels of creatinine and sudden kidney failure.</p>
