<p>RANTAC 300MG TABLET should be taken with caution in patients with lung disease, cough&nbsp;or chest infection. Consult your doctor before taking it.</p>

<p>Before taking RANTAC 300MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you:</p>

<ul>
<li>Have a history of stomach ulcers</li>
<li>Have stomach cancer</li>
<li>Have acute porphyria (a rare genetic condition)</li>
<li>Have diabetes (high blood sugar)</li>
<li>Have problems with your immune system</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Use in paediatrics:</strong></p>

<p>Your doctor will prescribe the right dose of RANTAC 300MG TABLET depending on age, body weight and health condition of your child. Consult your child&rsquo;s doctor for advice.</p>

<p><strong>Use in geriatrics:</strong></p>

<p>RANTAC 300MG TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged above 65 years). Consult your doctor before taking it.</p>

<h2>INTERACTIONS</h2>

<p><strong>A. Drug - Drug interactions:</strong></p>

<p>Before taking RANTAC 300MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines:</p>

<li>Medicines used to reduce pain and inflammation (Ex. aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen)</li>
<li>Lidocaine (used to make you feel insensitive to pain)</li>
<li>Medicines used to treat heart problems (Ex. propranolol, procainamide, n-acetylprocainamide)</li>
<li>Diazepam (used for worrying or anxiety problems)</li>
<li>Phenytoin (used to treat fits)</li>
<li>Theophylline (used to treat breathing problems)</li>
<li>Warfarin (used to treat blood clots)</li>
<li>Glipizide (used to reduce blood glucose levels)</li>
<li>Medicines used to treat HIV infection (Ex. atazanavir, delavirdine)</li>
<li>Gefitinib (used in lung cancer treatment)</li>
<li>Medicines used to treat fungal and yeast infections (Ex. itraconazole, ketoconazole)</li>
<li>Sucralfate (used to treat intestinal ulcers)</li>
<li>Medicines used to produce sleepiness and drowsiness during surgeries or to treat insomnia (Ex. midazolam, triazolam)</li>
</ul>
