<p>METHIMEZ 5MG TABLET is not recommended for you, if you:</p>

<ul>
<li>Have history of acute pancreatitis after using METHIMEZ 5MG TABLET</li>
<li>Have hereditary problems such as galactose intolerance, the Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption</li>
</ul>

<p>Before taking METHIMEZ 5MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you:</p>

<ul>
<li>Have a low white blood cell count</li>
<li>Have joint pain</li>
<li>Have skin problems</li>
<li>Have a large goitre (swelling in the front neck), the goitre may grow during treatment making it difficult to breath</li>
<li>Are going to have surgery</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Use in pediatrics:</strong></p>

<p>METHIMEZ 5MG TABLET is not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.</p>

<h2>INTERACTIONS</h2>

<p><strong>A. Drug-Drug interactions:</strong></p>

<p>Before taking METHIMEZ 5MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:</p>

<ul>
<li>Digitalis glycosides Ex. digoxin, digitoxin (medicines used to treat heart failure)</li>
<li>Theophylline (used to treat asthma)</li>
<li>Anticoagulants Ex. warfarin (medicines used to thin blood)</li>
<li>Beta blockers such as atenolol, carvedilol, labetalol (medicines used to treat high blood pressure and heart diseases)</li>
</ul>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Overdosage:</strong></p>

<p>If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of METHIMEZ 5MG TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms of overdose of METHIMEZ 5MG TABLET are nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, headache, fever, joint pain, itching and edema (fluid retention or swelling).</p>

<p>Other symptoms include hepatitis (liver dysfunction), nephrotic syndrome (kidney disease), exfoliative dermatitis (severe inflammation of skin), neuropathies (nerve damage) and CNS stimulation or depression, hypothyroidism (under active thyroid gland) with symptoms of a reduced metabolism and goitre growth (swelling of the neck).</p>
