<p>DRIVING AND USING MACHINES</p>

<p>FORTUM 2GM INJECTION may cause dizziness which can affect your ability to drive and operate machines. Do not drive or operate any machines if you feel dizzy after receiving FORTUM 2GM INJECTION.</p>

<p>KIDNEY</p>

<p>FORTUM 2GM INJECTION should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Consult your doctor before receiving FORTUM 2GM INJECTION.</p>

<p>LIVER</p>

<p>FORTUM 2GM INJECTION should be used with caution hence safety and efficacy is not established in patients with severe liver disease. Contact your doctor before receiving FORTUM 2GM INJECTION.</p>

<p>ALLERGY</p>

<p>Do not receive FORTUM 2GM INJECTION if you are allergic to Ceftazidime or other antibiotics such as penicillin, cephalosporin&rsquo;s, monobactams &amp; carbapenems, or to lignocaine, or to ingredients of the medicine.</p>

<h2>OTHERS</h2>

<p>Before receiving FORTUM 2GM INJECTION, inform your doctor if you:</p>

<ul>
<li>Have to take blood test (coomb&rsquo;s test)</li>
<li>Have poor nutritional status</li>
<li>Have a history of gastrointestinal disease, such as colitis</li>
<li>Have severe allergic reactions</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Use in pediatrics:</strong></p>

<p>The safety and efficacy of FORTUM 2GM INJECTION has not been established for neonates and infants less than 2 years of age. Your doctor will administer the right dose depends on the child&rsquo;s age, body weight and severity of the infection.</p>

<p><strong>Use in geriatrics:</strong></p>

<p>FORTUM 2GM INJECTION should be used with caution in elderly patients (especially aged above 80 years of age). Consult your doctor before receiving FORTUM 2GM INJECTION.</p>

<h2>INTERACTIONS</h2>

<p><strong>A. Drug-Drug interactions:</strong></p>

<p>Before receiving FORTUM 2GM INJECTION, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:</p>

<ul>
<li>Chloramphenicol, gentamycin, neomycin, tobramycin, streptomycin (medicines used for treatment of bacterial infections)</li>
<li>Furosemide (medicine used for treatment of kidney disorders)</li>
<li>Combined oral oestrogen/progesterone contraceptives (medicines used to prevent pregnancy)</li>
<li>Hydromorphone (medicine used for severe pain)</li>
<li>Diphenoxylate (medicine used for diarrhoea)</li>
<li>Atropine (medicine used to treat low heart rate)</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Overdosage:</strong></p>

<p>FORTUM 2GM INJECTION will be administered to you only by a doctor or a nurse in a hospital, and so it is unlikely to receive an overdose. However, consult your doctor or nurse if you experience any unusual symptoms. Excessive dose of FORTUM 2GM INJECTION in patients suffering from kidney disease may lead to fits, encephalopathy (brain disorder that alters brain functions), asterixis (involuntary movements), neuromuscular excitability, and myoclonia (muscle jerks).</p>
