<p>Avoid consumption of alcohol while receiving CERECETAM INJECTION.</p>

<p>KIDNEY</p>
<p>CERECETAM INJECTION is not recommended for use in patients with severe kidney impairment. It should be used with caution in patients with renal insufficiency. Consult your doctor before receiving this medicine. </p>

<p>LIVER</p>
<p>CERECETAM INJECTION is not recommended for use in patients having liver impairment. Consult your doctor before receiving this medicine.</p>

<p>ALLERGY</p>
<p>Do not receive CERECETAM INJECTION if you are allergic to Piracetam, other pyrrolidone derivatives (such as levetiracetam) or any other ingredients of this medicine. </p>
<h2>OTHERS</h2>
<p>CERECETAM INJECTION is not recommended for use if you:</p>
<ul>
<li>Have huntington’s disease (also known as huntington’s chorea)</li>
<li>Have ever experienced a brain haemorrhage </li>
</ul>
<p>Before receiving CERECETAM INJECTION, inform your doctor if you:</p>
<ul>
<li>Have severe haemorrhage</li>
<li>Gastrointestinal ulcer (due to risk of bleeding)</li>
<li>Underlying disorders of haemostasis (process to prevent and stop bleeding)</li>
<li>History of cerebral hemorrhage</li>
<li>Are undergoing major surgery including dental surgery</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Use in pediatrics:</strong></p>
<p>CERECETAM INJECTION is not recommended for use in children below 16 years of age. Consult your child’s doctor for advice. </p>
<p><strong>Use in geriatrics:</strong></p>
<p>CERECETAM INJECTION should be used with caution in elderly patients. Your doctor may adjust the dose based on evaluation of functioning of the kidney. Consult your doctor before receiving this medicine. </p>
<h2>INTERACTIONS</h2>
<p><strong>A. Drug-Drug interactions:</strong></p>
<p>Before receiving CERECETAM INJECTION, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines:</p>
<ul>
<li>Thyroid hormones (medicine used to treat hypothyroidism)</li>
<li>Anticoagulants such as aceno-coumarol (medicine used to prevent clotting of blood)</li>
<li>Carbamazepine, phenytoin, phenobarbitone, valproate (medicine used to control fits or seizures)</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Overdosage:</strong></p>
<p>CERECETAM INJECTION will be administered to you only by a doctor or a nurse in a hospital, and so it is unlikely to receive an overdose. However, consult your doctor if you experience any unusual symptoms such as bloody diarrhea with abdominal pain.</p>
