<p>ALLERGY</p>

<p>Do not take CARDIVAS 12.5MG TABLET if you are allergic to Carvedilol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.</p>

<p>LUNGS</p>

<p>CARDIVAS 12.5MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with breathing problems such as asthma or other lung diseases. Consult your doctor before taking CARDIVAS 12.5MG TABLET.</p>

<p>HEART DISEASE</p>

<p>CARDIVAS 12.5MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients having severe heart failure, conduction defect of the heart or heart block, AV heart block grade II or III, sick sinus syndrome (sino-atrial block), slow heartbeat, cardiogenic shock, very low blood pressure, unstable heart failure, Prinzmetal&rsquo;s angina (chest pain at rest). Consult your doctor before taking CARDIVAS 12.5MG TABLET.</p>

<h2>OTHERS</h2>

<p>CARDIVAS 12.5MG TABLET is not recommended for use if you have:</p>

<ul>
<li>Severe hardening of arteries affecting the circulation in legs or feet</li>
<li>Untreated pheochromocytoma</li>
<li>Metabolic acidosis</li>
<li>Glucose or galactose intolerance</li>
<li>Receiving diltiazem or verapamil injection or infusion</li>
</ul>

<p>Before taking CARDIVAS 12.5MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have:</p>

<ul>
<li>Diabetes</li>
<li>Raynaud&rsquo;s syndrome (poor circulation affecting hands, feet or lower legs causing cold hands and feet or pain)</li>
<li>Raynaud&rsquo;s syndrome (cold feet and hands) or peripheral vascular disease causing cold hands and feet)</li>
<li>Thyroid problems</li>
<li>Previous history of a serious allergic reaction</li>
<li>Desensitisation therapy</li>
<li>Psoriasis</li>
<li>Wear contact lenses (as they may cause dry eyes)</li>
<li>Surgery</li>
<li>Taking other antihypertensives like debrisoquine</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Use in pediatrics:</strong></p>

<p>CARDIVAS 12.5MG TABLET is generally not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Consult your doctor before taking CARDIVAS 12.5MG TABLET.</p>

<p><strong>Use in geriatrics:</strong></p>

<p>CARDIVAS 12.5MG TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients aged above 65 years. Consult your doctor before taking CARDIVAS 12.5MG TABLET.</p>

<h2>INTERACTIONS</h2>

<p><strong>A. Drug-Drug interactions:</strong></p>

<p><strong>Before taking CARDIVAS 12.5MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:</strong></p>

<ul>
<li>Medicines used to treat diabetes (Ex. insulin, metformin)</li>
<li>Medicines used to treat depression or other mental health conditions (Ex. moclobemide, reserpine, amitriptyline, fluoxetine, paroxetine, isocarboxide, phenelzine, phenothiazines, haloperidol)</li>
<li>Medicines used to treat high blood pressure or heart diseases (Ex. clonidine, doxazosin, terazosin, amiodarone, diltiazem, verapamil, amlodipine, nifedipine, indoramin, digoxin, chlorthalidone, cyclopenthiazide, isosorbide-mononitrate, glyceryl trinitrate, guanethidine, guanfacine, reserpine, methyldopa)</li>
<li>Atracurium besilate (medicines used to relax muscles and also used in anaesthesia)</li>
<li>Corticosteroids Ex. prednisolone (medicines used to treat inflammation, pain or allergic reactions)</li>
<li>Cimetidine (medicines used to treat ulcers)</li>
<li>Erythromycin (used to treat infections)</li>
<li>Medicines used to treat cough and cold (Ex. ephedrine or pseudoephedrine)</li>
<li>Medicines used for migraine (Ex. clonidine, ergotamine)</li>
<li>Ketoconazole (used for fungal infections)</li>
<li>Amylobarbitone (a medicine used to induce sleep)</li>
<li>Prochlorperazine (a medicine used to treat nausea and vomiting)</li>
<li>Cyclosporine (a medicine used after organ transplantation)</li>
<li>Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Ex. ibuprofen, diclofenac (used to treat inflammation, painful bones, joints and muscle)</li>
<li>Medicines used for hormone replacement therapy (Ex. oestrogens) or contraceptive pills (used to prevent pregnancy)</li>
<li>Rifampicin (medicines used to treat infections like tuberculosis)</li>
<li>Beta-agonist bronchodilators (medicines used to treat asthma or other chest conditions)</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Overdosage:</strong></p>

<p>If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of CARDIVAS 12.5MG TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms of overdose are dizziness, faintness, sick, breathlessness or wheezy, very drowsy or experience convulsions.</p>
