<p>ALCOHOL</p>
<p>Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking CARDACE METO 2.5/25MG TABLET as it may severely decrease your blood pressure and make you feel dizzier or faint.</p>

<p>KIDNEY</p>
<p>CARDACE METO 2.5/25MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with severe kidney impairment (including dialysis or narrowing or renal arteries). It should be used with caution in patients with other kidney problems (including kidney transplantation). Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it.</p>

<p>LIVER</p>
<p>CARDACE METO 2.5/25MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with liver failure. It should be used with caution in patients with other minor liver problems (such as liver cirrhosis). Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it.</p>

<p>ALLERGY</p>
<p>Do not take CARDACE METO 2.5/25MG TABLET if you are allergic to Metoprolol, Ramipril or to any other beta-blockers (such as propranolol, atenolol) or ACE inhibitors (such as captopril, enalapril, lisinopril).</p>

<p>LUNGS</p>
<p>CARDACE METO 2.5/25MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with severe lung problems (such as asthma, COPD or any form of breathing difficulties). Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it.</p>

<p>HEART DISEASE</p>
<p>CARDACE METO 2.5/25MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with severe heart problems (such as slow or irregular heartbeat, severe heart failure, recent heart attack). It should be used with caution in patients with other minor heart problems. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it.</p>
<h2>OTHERS</h2>
<p>CARDACE METO 2.5/25MG TABLET is not recommended for use if you:</p>
<ul>
<li>Have diabetes with impaired kidney functions</li>
<li>Are in shock</li>
<li>Have untreated phaeochromocytoma (a tumor of adrenal gland)</li>
<li>Have metabolic acidosis (increased acidity in blood)</li>
<li>Have problems in blood circulation (such as Raynaud’s disease)</li>
<li>Have block in blood vessels</li>
<li>Have a type of angina called Prinzmetal’s angina</li>
<li>Have severe low blood pressure</li>
<li>Suffer from frequent episodes of low blood sugar levels</li>
</ul>
<p>Before taking CARDACE METO 2.5/25MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you:</p>
<ul>
<li>Have a history of allergic reaction to insects</li>
<li>Have diabetes</li>
<li>Have psoriasis (an auto-immune skin disorder)</li>
<li>Have dry eyes</li>
<li>Have myasthenia gravis (severe muscle weakness)</li>
<li>Are scheduled for any upcoming surgery</li>
<li>Are severely dehydrated due to any recent sickness such as vomiting or diarrhea</li>
<li>Have any autoimmune disease that affects the skin or collagen (Ex. lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis or scleroderma)</li>
<li>Have any desensitization treatment (used to reduce the effect of an allergy to bee or wasp stings)</li>
<li>Have high blood potassium levels</li>

<p>Before taking CARDACE METO 2.5/25MG TABLET inform your doctor, if you are taking any of the following medicines such as:</p>

<li>Medicines used to treat stomach ulcers (such as cimetidine)</li>
<li>Medicines used to treat high blood pressure (such as hydralazine, clonidine, prazosin, aliskiren, sacubitril/valsartan, verapamil or diltiazem)</li>
<li>Medicines used to treat irregular heart rhythm (such as amiodarone, procainamide, digoxin and propafenone)</li>
<li>Medicines used to treat depression (such as moclobemide, paroxetine, fluoxetine isocarboxazid,<strong> </strong>phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, lithium)</li>
<li>Medicines used to treat epilepsy (such as phenobarbital, phenytoin)</li>
<li>Anaesthetics (used to causes numbness of body parts or loss of consciousness) such as lidocaine, cyclopropane or trichloroethylene</li>
<li>Medicines used to treat some cancers (such as aldesleukin)</li>
<li>Medicines used to treat erectile dysfunction (such as alprostadil)</li>
<li>Medicines used to reduce anxiety and to induce sleep (such as temazepam, nitrazepam, diazepam)</li>
<li>Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (used for pain relief) Ex. indomethacin, ibuprofen, aspirin</li>
<li>Rifampicin (a medicine used to treat tuberculosis infection)</li>
<li>Terbinafine (a medicine used to treat fungal infections)</li>
<li>Contraceptive pills (birth control pills) such as ethinyl Estradiol</li>
<li>Hormone replacement therapy (used to treat menstrual problems) such as estrogens</li>
<li>Corticosteroids (used to treat pain and inflammation) such as hydrocortisone, prednisolone</li>
<li>Anti-diabetic medicines and insulin (used to lower the blood glucose level) Ex. vildagliptin, metformin</li>
<li>Timolol eye drops (used to treat glaucoma)</li>
<li>Sympathomimetic drugs (used to treat low blood pressure, asthma, allergies or heart failure) such as ephedrine, noradrenaline or adrenaline</li>
<li>Moxisylyte (a medicine used in Raynaud’s syndrome)</li>
<li>Medicines used to treat asthma (such as aminophylline or theophylline)</li>
<li>Medicines to treat migraines (such as ergotamine)</li>
<li>Medicines used to treat rheumatoid arthritis (such as hydroxychloroquine)</li>
<li>Diphenydramine (an allergic medicine)</li>
<li>Medicines used to prevent graft rejection (Ex. ciclosporin, sirolimus, everolimus)</li>
<li>Medicines that supplement potassium to the body (Ex. spironolactone, triamterene or amiloride)</li>
<li>Trimethoprim, co-trimoxazole (used to treat bacterial infections)</li>
<li>Heparin (a medicine used to treat blood clots)</li>
<li>Allopurinol (a medicine used to treat gout)</li>
<li>Racecadotril (a medicine used to treat diarrhea)</li>

<p><strong>Overdosage:</strong></p>
<p>If you or anyone else accidentally took more CARDACE METO 2.5/25MG TABLET, consult your doctor immediately. Symptoms of overdose might include low blood pressure, tiredness, dizziness, slow pulse, shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, blue colouring of the skin, low blood sugar levels and high levels of potassium in the blood.</p>
