<p>Do not drive or handle any heavy tools or machines if you experience dizziness or drowsiness after taking AMTAS HT TABLET.</p>

<p>Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking AMTAS HT TABLET as it might make you feel dizzier and drowsier.</p>

<p>AMTAS HT TABLET should be used with caution in patients with kidney problems. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it.</p>

<p>AMTAS HT TABLET should be used with caution in patients with liver problems. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it.</p>

<p>ALLERGY</p>

<p>Do not take AMTAS HT TABLET if you are allergic to Amlodipine or Hydrochlorothiazide.</p>

<p>HEART DISEASE</p>

<p>AMTAS HT TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with severe heart problems such as heart failure, aortic stenosis (narrowing of arteries) or cardiogenic shock (inability of heart to pump blood). It should be used with caution in patients having a history of recent heart attack or heart failure. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it.</p>

<h2>OTHERS</h2>

<p>AMTAS HT TABLET is not recommended for use if you:</p>

<ul>
<li>Have cardiogenic shock (heart cannot pump blood suddenly)</li>
<li>Have severe low blood pressure (hypotension)</li>
</ul>

<p>Before taking AMTAS HT TABLET, inform your doctor if you:</p>

<ul>
<li>Have low blood pressure or are severely dehydrated (due to diarrhea, vomiting or excess sweating)</li>
<li>Have severe uncontrollable increase in blood pressure (hypertensive crisis)</li>
<li>Are on a low sodium diet</li>
<li>Have diabetes</li>
<li>Have hypokalemia (low blood potassium levels)</li>
<li>Have gout (painful joints)</li>
<li>Have low sodium, potassium or magnesium levels in the blood</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Use in Pediatrics:</strong></p>

<p>AMTAS HT TABLET is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years) unless considered necessary by the physician. Therefore, consult your doctor for advice before taking it.</p>

<p><strong>Use in Geriatrics:</strong></p>

<p>AMTAS HT TABLET should be used with caution in the elderly patients. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it.</p>

<h2>INTERACTIONS</h2>

<p><strong>A. Drug - Drug interactions:</strong></p>

<p>Before taking AMTAS HT TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines such as:</p>

<ul>
<li>Other medicines used to treat high blood pressure or angina (Ex. diltiazem, verapamil)</li>
<li>Ketoconazole, itraconazole (used to treat fungal infections)</li>
<li>Ritonavir, indinavir, nelfinavir (used in treatment of HIV infections)</li>
<li>Rifampicin, erythromycin, clarithromycin (used to treat bacterial infections)</li>
<li>Dantrolene (a medicine used to treat muscle spasms)</li>
<li>Medicines used to control elevated cholesterol levels (Ex. simvastatin)</li>
<li>Medicines used to prevent graft rejection and to suppress immune functions (such as tacrolimus, sirolimus, temsirolimus, everlimus, cyclosporine)</li>
<li>St. John&rsquo;s wort (an herbal medicine used to treat depression)</li>
<li>Medicines that can depress the brain such as barbiturates (Ex. phenobarbital)</li>
<li>Narcotic drugs (used for pain relief) such as morphine, fentanyl, pethidine</li>
<li>Medicines used to reduce blood cholesterol levels (such as cholestyramine, colestipol)</li>
<li>Corticosteroids (used to treat inflammation) Ex. prednisolone</li>
<li>Corticotropin (a medicine used to correct hormone problems)</li>
<li>Noradrenaline (a medicine used to increase blood pressure)</li>
<li>Tubocurarine, dantrolene (medicines used to relax muscles)</li>
<li>Medicines used for pain and inflammation (such as ibuprofen or indomethacin)</li>
<li>Lithium (a medicine used to treat metal illnesses)</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>B. Drug-Food interactions:</strong></p>

<p>Do not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice while taking AMTAS HT TABLET as it may reduce your blood pressure abnormally and may make you feel dizzier, drowsier or faint.</p>

<p><strong>Overdosage:</strong></p>

<p>If you or anyone else accidentally took more AMTAS HT TABLET, consult your doctor immediately. Overdosage may cause low blood pressure, abnormal heartbeat and dizziness.</p>
